Across the Servers

Made for Metroidvania Month 11. (In speedrun mode, got the idea a week and a half before the end)

Story

In the year 2XXX, technology has made so many advancements that humanity almost entirely rely on it. Countries of the world have access to it, and all servers are interconnected. Threats on the outside have almost disappeared, but this leads to other threats...

viruses.

Anya, hacker and professionnal gamer, has been tasked with eradicating the worst computer virus known to man: Defrag. Help her travel the world through the Internet and reduce Defrag to bits!

Controls

Controls are explained in-game, but in case:

You can toggle keyboard and controller controls on the title screen. Both can be used at the same time, but you'll have to use only one for an upgrade. Set on controller by default. Controller is highly recommended.

Controller (Xbox format):

D-Pad - Move
A - Jump
B - Attack
X - Interact
Left joystick - Use of the upgrade

Keyboard:

A/W - Left/Right
Space - Jump (ignore the tutorial where it says A)
Q - Interact
Left mouse button - Attack
Right mouse button - Use of the upgrade
